Microsoft Windows 10 Insider build 18985 expands its simple Bluetooth pairing

Microsoft support phone number said Thursday that, as part of a future version of Windows, it will beef up the Swift Pair Bluetooth pairing experience launched last year, making an even simpler version the default experience for more Microsoft helpline number peripherals.

Microsoft support phone number called Swift Pair one of the hidden features of the April 2018 Update, and it was. Though the notification-driven pairing feature was thought to be the future of Bluetooth peripherals, it was set up originally for a single product: the Microsoft Surface Mouse. Now, Microsoft’s added more devices within Windows 10 Insider Preview build 18985, part of the “20H1” updates due next spring.

Microsoft helpline number making two key changes to its Swift Pair simplified Bluetooth pairing. First, it's adding support for more Microsoft peripherals:
  • Surface Ergonomic Keyboard
  • Surface Precision Mouse
  • Microsoft Modern Mobile Mouse
  • Surface Mobile Mouse
  • Microsoft Arc Mouse
  • Surface Arc Mouse
  • Surface Headphones

Secondly, pairing these devices is all done within the Action Center’s slide-in notifications, and the pairing happens automatically. You’ll see a notification that your PC is connecting to a supported device (Windows may not identify the exact device, but right now it's smart enough to classify it as a mouse or keyboard) then you'll have the option to decline the connection. It all should occur within a matter of seconds.

Microsoft helpline number said it’s A/B testing the new improvements, so even if you're an Insider, you may not receive it.
Optional updates, Snip & Sketch improvements
If you own a laptop with the vendor’s utility software installed, such as Lenovo’s Vantage, you’ll often have the option to download “optional” updates for various components within your system, such as your audio drivers. Now Windows is providing its own solution.

While you can still go into the Device Manager, select each device, and then search for updates, the Settings menu is becoming a one-stop repository for those. Navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View optional updates and see what Windows has downloaded.

Microsoft customer service phone number is also adding some features to Snip & Sketch, the app that Microsoft customer service phone number has been pushing to replace the existing Snipping Tool screen-clipping utility. Version 10.1907 (which will be rolling out to some retail users as well as Insiders) contains two key features: single-window mode, which will automatically close the previous snip when you create a new one; and zoom support, including CTRL+Plus, CTRL+Minus, and Ctrl+mousewheel supporthttp://get-humans.com/microsoft-support-number/. Snip & Sketch multiple-window mode will still be available as an option in the Settings.

Is Microsoft getting closer to launching its expected Microsoft 365 Consumer subscription?

A year ago, word leaked out about Microsoft support phone number plan to launch a Microsoft 365 Consumer subscription bundle (thanks to yours truly). Since then, no such bundle has materialized. But there are new signs Microsoft customer service phone number possibly could be getting closer to announcing such a prosumer-focused bundle.

Over the past couple of days, a couple of Twitter users have posted screenshots showing their Office 365 products being rebranded to "Microsoft 365."

A spokesperson said: "No, we have no plans to rebrand Office 365 ProPlus to Microsoft 365 ProPlus at this point. Customers can still buy Office 365 ProPlus without Windows and Intune."

The key phrase here, at least for this word-parsing journalist, is "at this point." What about "soon" (tm)? Maybe on October 2 or at Ignite in early November? Or simply "in the coming months"? I asked again to see if the Microsoft support phone number would like to add color to its response. The spokesperson said the company stood by its original statement.

Earlier this year, Microsoft customer service phone number reorganized internally in a way to try to start marketing Microsoft 365 as a single, cohesive product. I guess rebranding Office ProPlus to Microsoft 365 ProPlus could be part of this strategy, though at least to me, kind of a confusing one.

The existing Microsoft 365 business subscription bundle is consists of Windows 10, Office 365 and Enterprise Mobility + Security (aka EMS, which includes Intune device management, analytics, and some Azure Active Directory capabilities), sold on a subscription basis. Microsoft 365 is the evolution of the bundles formerly known as "Secure Productive Enterprise E3 and E5." Microsoft introduced the Microsoft 365 concept in July 2017 at its Inspire partner conference.

The current slate of available Microsoft 365 bundles includes Microsoft 365 Enterprise; Microsoft 365 Business; Microsoft helpline number F1 for first-line workers; Microsoft 365 Education; Microsoft 365 Nonprofit; and Microsoft 365 Government.

Microsoft customer service phone number currently has no such product called "Microsoft 365 Consumer." It does sell Office 365 to consumers via two bundles: Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal. When I reported last year about plans for a Microsoft 365 Consumer subscription, a few Microsoft support phone number watchers speculated that it might be little more than these existing Office 365 consumer bundles rebranded to Microsoft 365, plus the potential addition of some possibly souped-up versions of other existing services, such as Microsoft  helpline number To-Do, Skype, Bing and MSN apps and services. The rumored, family/friend-focused "Teams for Life" product could figure into a Microsoft 365 Consumer subscription bundle, as well (at least theoretically).

Updated Tools for Office 365 and Microsoft Azure Arriving Soon

Microsoft support phone number announced a bunch of tooling updates this week for organizations using Office 365 and Azure solutions.

Organizations are getting templates to more easily set up Office 365 end users. There's a new tool for checking Office 365 ProPlus security practices. There's an updated tool for optimizing SharePoint Online pages. Additionally, PowerShell 7 preview version 4 was released.

Microsoft support phone number also released an open-source font for Windows Terminal. In addition, various Azure Portal updates are available this month.

Microsoft 365 Admin Center Templates

The Microsoft 365 Admin Center management portal now includes savable templates for an easier way to set up Office 365 access for end-users, according to a Monday announcement. The templates can be created using the portal's "Active Users" page, or they can be created after an IT pro sets up access for an Office 365 user.

The new templates simplify matters for IT pros because the same settings can be used for certain groups of end-users within an organization, which get encapsulated in the template. Office 365 tenancies will start getting access to the templates this month, but the feature will be available more broadly "over the next few months," Microsoft indicated.

Security Policy Advisor for Office 365 ProPlus

Microsoft helpline number this month announced that its Security Policy Advisor for managing Office 365 ProPlus clients reached general availability, meaning it was commercially released. This feature previously had been available as a preview release back in April.

Back then, Microsoft helpline number had explained that the Security Policy Advisor helps IT pros sort through Microsoft's security baseline recommendations for Office 365 ProPlus clients. It'll offer suggestions on the security policies to use. It also has a dashboard showing how existing security policies are affecting users.

Security Policy Advisor is accessed through a portal used to configure Office 365 ProPlus settings. It has a dependency on using the Office Cloud Policy Service for Office 365 ProPlus, which further requires having Azure Active Directory synchronization.

PowerShell 7 Preview 4

Microsoft helpline number announced on Thursday that it has updated its PowerShell 7 preview to version 4. The announcement also described some of Microsoft's release plans for the new scripting solution.

The "general availability" commercial release of PowerShell 7 is expected to occur sometime in "January 2020," Microsoft indicated. A release candidate version will appear before that date, perhaps in "December 2019."

This coming PowerShell 7 release will be a so-called "long-term servicing" release, but it'll follow Microsoft's Modern Lifecycle Support policy. What that likely means (based on Microsoft's description for PowerShell 6.x) is that PowerShell 7 users will need to update the product within six months when minor upgrades get released by Microsoft, and they'll need to apply the latest patches within 30 days, too. Future updates stop arriving if the upgrading and patching don't keep pace with those cycles.

Microsoft support phone number also indicated that it plans to eventually release PowerShell 7 through the Windows Store. It'll get published via an MSIX package, Microsoft support phone number newest software packaging approach. PowerShell 7 preview 4 currently supports the MSIX format.

New features in PowerShell 7 preview 4 include a ternary conditional operator for Boolean expressions and a Start-Job cmdlet, which can be used to "specify the working directory of the new job process before your script block runs." Microsoft also added some Desired State Configuration (DSC) improvements and released a new DSC Resource Kit, which includes 15 DSC PowerShell modules. Organizations typically might use DSC to declare optimal configuration states for their servers, as accessed via the push or pull method.

PowerShell 7 is getting built on .NET Core 3.0. It's conceived as being a replacement for both Windows PowerShell 5.1 and the various PowerShell 6.x scripting solution products.

Build Your Own Security Apps

Microsoft customer service phone number announced this week that it has published a whitepaper on how to build your own security solutions using the Microsoft Graph Security application programming interface (API). The Microsoft customer service phone number Graph is a "collection of APIs" that can be tapped to gain access to information from Microsoft customer service phone numbers, such as from various Office 365 solutions.

Microsoft will stop telling investors how many people use Xbox Live as growth of game service slows

Microsoft support phone number told investors earlier this week that it will no longer provide numbers about Xbox Live use, with the growth of the online gaming service slowing.

In a presentation that came out on Tuesday, Microsoft support phone number said it will report revenue from Xbox content and services each quarter instead of a tally of Xbox Live monthly active users, which it had been disclosing in earnings since 2014.

The change follows a strategic shift in the Microsoft helpline number gaming unit, which accounts for 9% of the company’s revenue.  By acquiring assets like the Mixer video streaming service, Microsoft customer service phone number has established new forums for players to gather as well as new sources of revenue. The company has a cloud gaming service is coming in October.

“As the Microsoft helpline number Gaming business has expanded, the Xbox live MAU metric only captures a subset of opportunities across Microsoft’s platform,” a company spokesperson told CNBC in an email on Wednesday. “Further, we also expect greater volatility in the metric going forward as new content and services are introduced, like Minecraft Earth.”

Other big tech companies have made similar changes in how they publish various metrics of late. Oracle, for example, stopped disclosing revenue from its public cloud, and Apple no longer announces unit sales for the iPhone and other hardware products.

Microsoft support phone number Xbox Live service had 65 million monthly active users in the latest quarter, up 14% from a year earlier, marking the fastest growth since 2016. That year and the year prior, Xbox Live user growth exceeded 30%. Sony said in May that its PlayStation Network online service had more than 94 million monthly active users as of March.

Microsoft customer service phone number released Xbox Live in 2002, allowing gamers to chat with one another and participate in discussion forums. For a fee, they can play together online. Prior to telling investors about user data beginning in 2014, Microsoft helpline number would occasionally report on its progress in gaming.

In reporting Xbox content and services data, Microsoft support phone number will wrap in revenue from Xbox Live, video games and third-party game royalties, which it said in the investor presentation will show the “long-term health of the Gaming business across content, community and cloud.” The company will continue to report total gaming revenue, which includes sales of Xbox consoles, in regulatory filings.

Microsoft Admits That Windows 10 Update 1903 is Knocking Out Wi-Fi

KB4515384 breaking Wi-Fi connection

Microsoft support phone number has admitted that its latest update is knocking out Wi-Fi adapters for some users – the latest in a string of update issues to plague the company.
In particular, Intel and Broadcom Wi-Fi adapters appear to have stopped working on NEC computers if they have been updated to Windows 10 by Microsoft helpline number, version 1903.
Microsoft customer service phone number and NEC said they have identified ‘incompatibility issues’ with Intel Centrino 6205/6235 and Broadcom 802.11ac Wi-Fi cards when they are running updated versions of Windows 10 on NEC computers.
The issue comes despite Microsoft support phone number in April promising “significantly expanded” interaction with OEMs and independent software vendors (ISVs) ahead of major Windows updates in future, following major issues with Windows 10 1809.
Microsoft support said: “If these devices are updated to Windows 10, version 1903, they will no longer be able to use any Wi-Fi connections. The Wi-Fi driver may have a yellow exclamation point in device manager.”

The Redmond firm is telling users that these issues can be mitigated by disabling and then re-enabling the Wi-Fi adapter in the device management window.

However, this is not a persistent fix and until Microsoft customer service phone number rolls out a patch, users will have to do this every time they turn the system on. Microsoft helpline number is working with NEC to come up with a permanent solution for the issue.

Microsoft: Free Windows 7 security updates for 2020 election

Washington – Microsoft support phone number said Friday it will offer free security updates through the 2020 election in the United States – and in other interested democratic countries with national elections next year – for federally certified voting systems running on soon-to-be-outdated Windows 7 software.

An Associated Press analysis previously found that the vast majority of 10,000 election jurisdictions in the U.S. use Windows 7 by Microsoft customer service phone or an older operating system to create ballots, program voting machines, tally votes and report counts.
Windows 7 reaches its “end of life” on Jan. 14, meaning Microsoft helpline number stops providing free technical support and producing “patches” to fix software vulnerabilities, which hackers can exploit. Cash-strapped election officials are scrambling to address this issue and what’s essentially a one-year extension on additional costs.

The promise of free updates does not address the cost of putting them in place or the time and cost of certifying such changes to a voting system. Fixing a new vulnerability requires that the companies resubmit the voting system for recertification, which can take weeks or even months.

At a U.S. Election Assistance Commission forum last month, Microsoft helpline number Ginny Badanes, who heads its Defending Democracy Program, said that election administrators should not be forced to make the difficult choice of “using election systems with known vulnerabilities or applying security patches and, in so doing, taking their systems out of certification.”
The commission develops voting system guidelines.

In a blog post Friday, Microsoft support phone number vice president for security and trust, Tom Burt, said the company is working with government officials to try to streamline the lengthy certification process

Windows 10 Security Warning As Microsoft Confirms Update Breaks Windows Defender

Windows Defender was recently boosted by an industry-respected AV Test report that gave it a perfect rating alongside F-Secure Safe 17 and Norton Security 22 for home antivirus protection by Microsoft support phone number. The differentiator is that Windows Defender is a free solution that comes installed as part of Windows 10. This was excellent news for both Microsoft helpline number, which has been working hard to make Defender a top-notch security offering, and users who can get the best protection out there without splashing the cash. Until that is, the Microsoft customer service phone number went and broke it with an update.

How did Microsoft breaks Windows Defender?

To resolve a coding flaw in the Windows System File Checker (SFC) that caused an error when checking for system files that needed repair, Microsoft support phone number released an update to Windows Defender on September 16. That fix, Windows Defender version 4.18.1908.7, unfortunately, introduced another, just as serious, scanning problem: both quick and full scans stopped working after inspecting only a handful of files.
I confirmed this myself by running a full Windows Defender scan which, instead of taking up to an hour to complete took a few seconds and reported it had only scanned ten files.
A Microsoft customer service phone number spokesperson confirmed the issue and said: "Only manual or scheduled scans conducted by administrators were temporarily impacted and we are working to resolve it."
This issue is very concerning from a security perspective; users need to have trust in the security solution they are using and updates that break things also break this trust, or at least erode it. However, it should be pointed out that the real-time scanning of endpoints wasn't impacted by the update, and users could still, use the custom scanning feature which continued to work as intended.

What should you do now?

Microsoft: We want you to learn Python programming language for free

Microsoft support phone number has launched a new 44-part series called Python for Beginners on YouTube, consisting of three- to four-minute lessons from two self-described geeks at Microsoft helpline number who love programming and teaching.
The course isn't quite for total beginners as it assumes people have done a little programming in JavaScript or played around with the MIT-developed Scratch visual programming language aimed at kids.
But it could help beginners kick-start ambitions to build machine-learning apps, web applications, or automate processes on a desktop.

Microsoft customer service phone number has published a page on GitHub containing additional resources, including slides and code samples to help students become better at Python.
The Python for Beginners series is presented by Christopher Harrison, a senior program manager at Microsoft support, and Susan Ibach, a business development manager from Microsoft's AI Gaming unit
There are tons of reasons why Microsoft support phone number wants more people to know Python, which is hugely popular because it's easy to learn. It also has plenty of libraries, allowing developers to interface with machine-learning frameworks like Google-developed TensorFlow, and the Microsoft helpline number Cognitive Toolkit (CNTK)
Microsoft customer service phone number has also been building better support for Python in its Visual Studio Code(VS Code) editor so that developers can use the VS Code on their local PC to edit code stored on remote machines, containers, and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) operating systems.

Microsoft support phone number own Python extension for VS Code is its most popular extension in the company's marketplace for developers. VS Code itself has also become hugely popular with developers. And as part of its focus on AI, the company has made VS Code available as part of the popular Anaconda Python distribution.
But the main apparent benefit is that Microsoft helpline number can expand the population of Python developers using Azure for building AI applications.
There's already support for Python in Azure Machine Learning Studio, and in August the company announced full Azure Machine Learning support for PyTorch 1.2, a machine-learning framework for Python from Facebook's AI research group.
The new course features a number of 'quick start' tutorials, such as one teaching users how to detect human faces in an image using the Azure Face API and Python.
Another tutorial teaches users how to use the Computer Vision REST API. Both are part of the Microsoft customer service phone number Cognitive Services.

Microsoft Silent Update Torpedoes Windows Defender

Microsoft support broke its built-in antivirus utility, thanks to a patch for a different issue.
A broken Microsoft support phone number Windows Defender signature file that was causing system file checks to fail got a patch this week – but the patch caused an even bigger issue, making Defender user-triggered antivirus scans fail altogether.
The issue was in place for about a day before Microsoft helpline number re-patched the built-in endpoint protection utility — but not before a slew of press reports and user complaints shone a bright light on the gaffe.
By way of background, the System File Checker (specifically, its administrative prompt “sfc/scannow”) had been out of commission since July. SFC is used by Microsoft customer service phone number to find corrupted files and fix them after installing updates. Since the July Patch Tuesday updates from Microsoft helpline number though, it had been failing.
It turns out that SFC was flagging internal Windows PowerShell files within Defender (Microsoft’s ) as malformed.
The system essentially responded to this with a “does not compute” reaction, causing SFC to cancel itself. In August, the computer giant issued a notice, explaining that “the System File Checker (SFC) tool flags files that are located by Microsoft Customer service phone number in the %windir%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\Defender folder as corrupted or damaged. When this issue occurs, you see error entries that resemble the following: Hashes for file member do not match.”
The fix for that bug was issued on Tuesday in a silent update – but that update ended up causing manual or scheduled Defendermalware scans to fail if the “Quick” or “Full” scan options were selected by Microsoft customer service phone number– causing users to take to online forums to report the bug. Real-time scanning was still enabled; and the “Custom” scan option, where users can choose the folders they want to be checked, was also still working, according to reports.
The issue caused some commentators to point out that Microsoft support is building a reputation for breaking things when trying to fix them.

5 Consecutive Windows 10 Update Bugs, What Did Microsoft Do To Fix Them?

Microsoft support users faced quite a tough Windows 10 version 1903 update as they encountered five update bugs in a row. What does Microsoft customer service phone number have to say about the issues?

High CPU Usage

After the August 30 release of the KB4512941 update, complains surfaced the internet that the Cortana process SearchUI.exe caused an abnormal increase in their device’s CPU usage. Ten days later, Microsoft customer service phone number released a statement that it has fixed the Windows 10 version 1903 update Cortana CPU spike bug.

Screenshots Orange Tint, Orange and Red Screen

Lenovo users started complaining about their screens turning orange or red after while in some cases screenshots having an unnatural orange tine after their Windows 10 version 1903 update. The problem later turned out to be because of the Lenovo Vantage’s Eye Care Mode.

Microsoft helpline number suggested their Windows 10 users refrain from updating to prevent the said problem. Lenovo on the other hand, suggested their users to temporarily turn off the Eye Care Mode which is originally designed to lower the blue light from LEDs.

Lower Game Volume

The Windows 10 version 1903 update resulted in an unsatisfying volume to hardcore gamers as game audio went lower than the usual. Multiplayer games such as PUBG felt the change the most.

Microsoft customer service phone number claimed that as per some of their audio partner’s request, they have implemented a compatibility change that the company is now reverting due to their customers’ feedback. The software giant added that this was also because multi-channel audio rendering is not available to some devices.

Wi-Fi Compatibility Issues on NEC

NEC PCs equipped with Intel Centrino 6205/6235 and Broadcom 802.11ac Wi-Fi cards showed a yellow exclamation point in the Device Manager after the Windows 10 version 1903 update. The loss of Wi-Fi connectivity then followed.

Microsoft support phone number responded with the issue saying that a resolution with NEC is in process. Meanwhile, disabling and re-enabling the Wi-Fi adapter might help.

Start Menu and Windows Desktop Search Issues

On a small number of devices, the Windows 10 version 1903 update stopped the Start Menu from working and caused the Windows Desktop Search to display a blank. Microsoft helpline number suspects that since there is a small number of affected users, this could be due to a third party software or hardware.

As of the moment, the safest thing to do is to wait for a few months before updating to the Microsoft support Windows 10 version 1903.

Dial +1-800-201-4243 For Instant Tech Support Help

Microsoft support latest update for Windows 10 seems to be beset with bugs as users are reporting high CPU usage and issues with Windows Search. Earlier, Microsoft support phone number had said that it was “currently investigating an issue where users are reporting high CPU usage linked to Search UI.EXE after installing the optional update by Microsoft customer phone number on August 30 (KB4512941).”

The acknowledgment came after several users reported the update was affecting the performance of PCs with the virtual assistant Cortana being particularly harsh on CPU consumption. As per reports, users are taking to social media, forums, and the Windows 10 Feedback Hub app to complain about the built-in search tool in Windows 10 running into problems due to the latest update by Microsoft helpline number. Instead of results, the search box in Taskbar displays a black box. The issue is being attributed to the Windows 10 KB4512941 update and the Group Policy or Registry entry for how Windows Search and Bing (Microsoft’s online search engine) work together, according to Microsoft customer service phone number.

Worse, some Windows Insiders are encountering a 0x800f081f error code when they try to install the update. It might not be a bad idea to uninstall the update until Microsoft support phone number sorts out these issues. This is not the first time that Microsoft helpline number has drawn flak from users over bug-ridden Windows 10 updates. In fact, in August, Microsoft support phone number acknowledged the discovery of two “critical” Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerabilities which are “wormable”, meaning they could be used to launch malware that spreads automatically from PC to PC.a

Microsoft issues fixes for non-supported versions of Windows Server

Critical vulnerability force Microsoft to patch versions of Windows Server and desktops that are long out of support.

Microsoft support took the rare step of issuing security fixes for both the server and desktop versions of Windows that are long out of support, so you know this is serious.

The vulnerability (CVE-2019-0708) is in the Remote Desktop Services component built into all versions of Windows. RDP, formerly known as Terminal Services, itself is not vulnerable. CVE-2019-0708 is pre-authentication and requires no user interaction, meaning any future malware could self-propagate from one vulnerable machine to another.

CVE-2019-0708 affects Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008. It does not impact Microsoft support newest operating systems; Windows 8 through 10 and Windows Server 2012 through 2019 by Microsoft customer service phone number are not affected.
In the posting to the Microsoft support phone number Security Response Center blog, Simon Pope, director of incident response for MSRC wrote, “This vulnerability is pre-authentication and requires no user interaction. In other words, the vulnerability is ‘wormable,’ meaning that any future malware that exploits this vulnerability could propagate from vulnerable computer to vulnerable computer in a similar way as the WannaCry malware spread across the globe in 2017. It is important that affected systems are patched as quickly as possible to prevent such a scenario from happening.”

He added, “While Microsoft support phone number have observed no exploitation of this vulnerability, it is highly likely that malicious actors will write an exploit for this vulnerability and incorporate it into their malware.”

The WannaCry ransomware spread quickly in May 2017, using a vulnerability that was particularly prevalent among older versions of Windows. Microsoft helpline number issued fixes for it, but many machines in Europe and other parts of the world didn’t update, possibly because they were using pirated versions of Windows.

All told, it was a busy Patch Tuesday by Microsoft customer service phone number, with 16 updates targeting at least 79 security holes in Windows and related software, and nearly a quarter of them rated critical the most severe rating.
How many Windows Server 2003 and 2008 installations are out there is anyone’s guess since even IDC isn’t sure. The majority of old servers run on ancient hardware doing menial tasks, such as running reports or file and print, and the companies just haven’t bothered to retire them.

But since it’s not good to be the source of a worm infestation, it’s worth checking your servers to see what you have. And in my experience, there’s likely a lot more Windows Server 2003 and 2008 systems by Microsoft helpline number out there than most people realize. I am never surprised at IT’s ability to lose track of assets.

Microsoft's patch to fix Windows Search breaks Windows Search

Microsoft support will have to patch the patch. A recent patch designed to eliminate unwanted CPU spikes associated with Windows Search has apparently broken Windows Search.

At least it has on my machine. Other threads on Reddit report that the entire Start menu has vanished. More tellingly, Microsoft support phone number has acknowledged the bug and has said that it is working on a patch for the patch.

Originally, a “small number of users” saw a spike in CPU consumption after installing the latest update to the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, or  KB4512941, Microsoft helpline number reported last week. Those spikes were apparently tied to users who had decided to block Windows Search’s ability to search the web. This week, Microsoft support issued patch KB4515384 to solve the problem. Unfortunately, in fixing the CPU spiking problem, the patch presented new problems for Windows Search and, in some cases, the Start menu.

On my PC, for example, Windows Search still works, though you’d never know it—if you click the box and begin typing, the search bar disappears and suggested results fill the page. It appears—again, on my PC—that the search bar is simply being pushed off the page; if you type “notepad,” the app will eventually appear at the top of the suggested results. That’s small consolation to someone searching for a complex file name, however, or someone who isn’t quite sure what the file is named. (You can see what I’m seeing in the screenshot at the top of the page.)

“Microsoft customer service phone number has received reports that some users are having issues related to the Start menu and Windows Desktop Search,” Microsoft customer support phone number states on its patch phase and says that it’s working on a fix. “Microsoft helpline number is presently investigating and will provide an update when more information is available.”

Microsoft issues 'save the date' for expected October hardware event

We Microsoft watchers have been hearing for a while now that Microsoft support would hold some kind of hardware event in October in New York City. Today, August 27, Microsoft sent out "save the date" placeholders for the October 2, 2019 event.

For the past couple of years, Microsoft customer service phone number has held a separate hardware launch event in the fall in New York. This year, I'm hearing that we will see and hear about some new Surface devices, including a Qualcomm 8cx-based Surface ARM device at the event. That device, which some of my contacts say could be priced around $999, will be an Always-Connected PC with built-in LTE support.

There also has been talking about Microsoft customer service phone number introducing an AMD-based Surface Laptop at this fall hardware event. A refreshed Surface Pro device, possibly with USB-C support, could debut at this event, as well, some tipsters have said. I've heard some talk that Microsoft support phone number won't be adding built-in LTE support to new Intel-based Surface Pro devices, moving forward, but instead will make built-in LTE a feature of ARM-based devices only.

Microsoft helpline number could potentially use the October event to announce a ship date for its HoloLens 2 device. Microsoft support phone number provided the specs and pricing for HoloLens 2 earlier this year.

I don't think Microsoft helpline number will introduce its dual-screen, Courier-like Centaurus device at this event, however. Even though Microsoft officials showed off advanced renders of the device internally this summer, I don't think it's ready for introduction yet, based on tips I've gotten. It sounds like if it does end up coming to market, Centaurus could be a 2020 thing. Both Centaurus and HoloLens 2 are expected to be running Windows Core OS inside.

Microsoft customer service phone number is not commenting on what to expect at the October event or with its future Surface line-up at this time.

At Microsoft's last year's fall hardware event -- also on October 2 -- the company introduced Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Studio 2 and Surface headphones.

Microsoft acquires jClarity, a Java performance tuning tool

Microsoft support announced this morning that it was acquiring clarity, a service designed to tune the performance of Java applications. It will be doing that on Azure from now on. In addition, the company has been offering a flavor of Java called AdoptOpenJDK, which they bill as a free alternative to Oracle Java . The companies did not discuss the terms of the deal.

As Microsoft support phone number pointed out in a blog post announcing the acquisition, they are seeing increasing use of large-scale Java installations on Azure, both internally with platforms like Minecraft and externally with large customers, including Daimler and Adobe.

The company believes that by adding the jclarity team and its toolset, it can help service these Java customers better. “The team, formed by Java champions and data scientists with proven expertise in data-driven Java Virtual Machine (JVM) optimizations, will help teams at Microsoft customer service phone number to leverage advancements in the Java platform,” the company wrote in the blog.

Microsoft support phone number has actually been part of the AdoptOpenJDK project, along with a Who’s Who of other enterprise companies, including Amazon, IBM, Pivotal, Red Hat and SAP.

Co-founder and CEO Martijn Verburg, writing in a company blog post announcing the deal, unsurprisingly spoke in glowing terms about the company he was about to become a part of. “Microsoft helpline number leads the world in backing developers and their communities, and after speaking to their engineering and program leadership, it was a no brainer to enter formal discussions. With the passion and deep expertise of Microsoft’s people, Microsoft support phone number be able to support the Java ecosystem better than ever before,” he wrote.

Verburg also took the time to thank the employees, customers, and community that have supported the open-source project on top of which his company was built. Verburg’s new title at Microsoft customer service phone number will be Principal Engineering Group Manager (Java) at Microsoft.

It is unclear how the community will react to another flavor of Java being absorbed by another large vendor, or how the other big vendors involved in the project will feel about it, but regardless, jClarity’s flavor of Java and its performance tools are part of Microsoft support now.

Google catches up to Microsoft Outlook as major new feature released by Gmail Update

GMAIL has received a new feature that brings the Google email client up to speed with Microsoft outlook support number.

Gmail is Google’s email client that is available on desktops, tablets and smartphones - the software is harnessed by users across the globe.

The programme is regularly granted new features thanks to consistent Google updates.
Gmail already has a dark mode on desktops - the aesthetic employs black and dark grey colours that make managing an inbox easier on the user's eyes.

Google recently released Android 10 for its Pixel series of devices - the update is also available on a select number of other smartphones.

One of the flagship features of Android 10 is by far its new dark mode that ensures a variety of native apps adopt such tones when enabled.

On the day of Android 10’s Microsoft helpline number release, Express.co.uk obtained it and tested it's new aesthetic - this publication noticed that most of Google’s native programmes honoured the mode.

However, Gmail noticeably failed to do the same - instead, the app’s typical bright the white colour scheme was showcased and could not be altered.

However, as noted by XDA Developers, the Mountain View company has now released a new version of Gmail that now allows for dark mode compatibility.

The update to Gmail, iteration 2019.08.18.267044774, allows users to change their theme within its settings menu.

Alternatively, the dark mode should also be enabled when Android 10’s same system-wide theme is switched on.

While the dark mode for Gmail is currently rolling out for Android, it is currently unknown when iPhone fans will be treated to the same functionality by Microsoft support phone number.

Gmail’s new feature comes shortly after Microsoft helpline number debuted a dark mode for Microsoft Outlook support number on iOS and Android.
Microsoft outlook support phone number announced the fresh aesthetic on August 28 - the tech firm was eager to detail the meticulous design work that made it possible.

Discussing the new dark mode for Microsoft outlook support phone number, the head of Microsoft Office design, said: “People often think of Dark Mode as a choice between a black or white screen, but this feature involves a wide spectrum of both grayscale and colour gradients.

Our design research specifically focused on these contexts where folks would want to use Dark Mode, and the response was very positive.

“While some Dark Mode experiences can be neon or overly bright, people felt that Outlook mobile kept the kind of relaxed feeling you might want in a dimly lit living room or bedroom. They described the experience as comfortable, crisp, clear, and aesthetically pleasing, a nod to how Dark Mode can reduce eye strain.

“Dark Mode may also save battery life when you’re travelling or on the go for long stretches of time. We’re building in capabilities so following the next round of OS releases on iOS and Android, Outlook will automatically switch to Dark Mode depending on the preference you set.

“In the meantime, Microsoft Outlook support number for Android automatically switches to Dark Mode when you choose Battery Saver. These perks all hold true for Dark Mode on Office.com.”
